The PACS is very efficient system in the hospital, but the implementation of PACS and teleradiology still seem to have many problems to solve. In particular, the cost of such a system will not be overcome as soon as other factors such as image quality and transmission throughput rate. And other problems are the technical diffculties, the lakes of understanding about the PACS and inefficient communication networks in our country. In order to archieve the sucessful PACS, we must improve the problems as flowing : 1. We must follow the international standards on communication protocol and file format.
2. Because PACS promote a health of the people, it is necessary to provide the political support, installation grant-in-aid support, etc. 3. It is necesssary to make a related legislation. 4. We must accumulate a store of technology about the PACS and cultivate men of talent. we needs to make a requirements for good PACS and to evaluate in terms of clinic and engineering after PACS installation.
